There's a saying: Buy the right one, not the expensive one.

Most people think that the more expensive something is, the better it is.

While it's undeniable that slightly more expensive toys are generally of better quality than cheaper ones, it doesn't mean that all expensive toys are better.

When choosing toys for children, we should consider their age and personality.

Since I don't know how old your child is, I can only offer some general advice.

Several principles to follow when choosing toys:

1/ Choose toys suitable for the child's age

For younger children, avoid buying beads, paints, crayons, and anything that could pose a safety hazard. For example, children aged 8 months to 1 year old are in a sensitive period for their hands and mouths. If parents buy small beads, paints, or other toys, the child may easily put them in their mouth. Small beads can easily be swallowed, while paints and crayons can be eaten or get into the eyes, which is very harmful to the child's health and safety.

2/ The material and safety of the toy must be up to standard

Many children's toys are made of plastic, which comes in many types. It is not recommended to buy toys from street vendors. It's not that low-Price toys are bad, but many street vendor toys are unpackaged, and some don't even have a manufacturer or date. Whether toys without a certificate and manufacturer are qualified and suitable for children is a big question.

Especially for plastic toys, toys without a manufacturer may be made from recycled waste plastic. The lead content of such plastic may seriously exceed the standard, posing a great health risk to children.

I have seen many children who are hyperactive, don't like to eat, and always like to eat their fingers or strange things, all caused by excessive lead content. A large part of this is caused by children's long-term contact with toys with excessive lead content.

3/ Don't buy uncreative and monotonous toys for children.

Many children like toys that light up, or toys that run, sing, and move when you turn them on.

But personally, I don't recommend parents buying this type of toy. These toys, which run, light up, and sing when you put in batteries, are actually not conducive to children's brain development and growth.

Because playing with these toys doesn't require any brainpower, it's easy for children. They just need to turn on the switch and watch the toy "sing," "dance," "move forward," and "move backward" without having to use their hands or brains. What's the point of buying such toys? Just to give the child some fun?
